Weeks 9 & 10 In Mommy's Belly-Thanksgiving

Well, Week 9 started off at home in New York. But by Wednesday we were all on our way to St. Louis to meet all of Mommy's family for Thanksgiving. Daddy wasn't nervous at all, but Mommy sure was. I know because I could hear her stomach turning. Daddy was received well. He met every member of Mommy's maternal family except for his namesake, Mommy's Uncle Tommy. I’m sure you’ve read all about it since I posted Daddy’s Thanksgiving email in the last post.

Well I had a lot of fun hearing all of my loved ones. They all seem so excited about me. Grandma Claudia even says she wants to come down for two whole weeks after my birthday. Mommy’s not sure how comfortable she is with that. We did eat lots of good food. Mommy’s Gram, who I’ll call G.G., made sooooo much food. I ate, now let’s see if I can remember it all, macaroni and cheese, greens, corn bread, spaghetti, sweet potato pie, turkey, and dressing. Then Grandma Claudia made us breakfast the morning we left. It was great! I can’t wait to go back to see everybody face to face.

So Week 10 hasn’t been anything too special. I think all my growing is taking some of Mommy’s energy. She sleeps a lot. I am no longer what’s called an embryo and I am the size of a kumquat (about an inch or so). I don’t have webbed fingers anymore and now is when I really start to grow! Mommy’s so excited about having a big round belly. I guess she doesn’t care about getting into a bikini so much anymore.

P.S. Tonight, we're going to see Happy Feet
